This classic yet robust Worldtimer model watch represents a tribute to OMEGA’s rich maritime heritage. The outer section of the dial is sun-brushed blue with vertical teak stripes and a circle of global destinations printed in red (GMT), silvery (+1h in summer) and blue (places without daylight savings) while the center of the dial features a 24-hour glass ring, with light blue to indicate daytime and dark blue to indicate night. The vision of Earth is created on a grade 5 titanium plate. This has been lasered to create the blue ocean, leaving a relief of the continents. The contrasting colors of the Earth’s surface are obtained naturally by the laser’s chemical reaction. Other features include rhodium-plated hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova and a date window at 6 o'clock. A domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects this unique dial. The stainless steel 43mm case is presented on a blue structured rubber strap with grey lining. This certified chronometer is powered by a Worldtimer driven by the Master Chronometer Calibre 8938, which is resistant to magnetic fields greater than 15,000 gauss and can be seen through the transparent case-back.
